(CNSNews.com) – Neal Katyal, who became the acting U.S. solicitor general when Elena Kagan was nominated to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, previously served as the legal counsel of record for the man who worked as Osama bin Laden’s driver from February 1996 through November 2001.

Salim Ahmed Hamdan, who underwent training at an al Qaeda camp, was charged with transporting weapons to al Qaeda operatives.

The Hamden case culminated in the 2006 Supreme Court ruling that said the Bush administration’s military tribunals violated U.S. law and international conventions.

They always say “driver” because it sounds better than “bodyguard”.

Who paid him for his services? If he wasn't paid, did he do it for ideological reasons?

Was there no willing and able candidate for Solicitor General who wasn’t involved first hand with Al Qaeda?

Very good catch. So now we can hypothesize that the real reason Obama was ordered by his handlers to nominate the hapless Kagan to the Supreme Court was to allow another AlQaida affiliate to move up to Solicitor General.

If Kagan had any honor she'd withdraw from the nomination now and fire this puke.

That'd also mean this guy who undoubtedly has more than anyone's fair share of AlQaida affiliations, and probably associates, was in a position to work on the government's case AGAINST ARIZONA.

My guess is AZ was getting too close to the main access route for AlQaida operatives to get into the US.

So let's say the AlQaida operatives are coming across the AZ border, and so where do they go next? Nevada? Utah? Colorado?

Ha, ha, more likely New Mexico where Governor Bill Richardson keeps things open for his deeply tanned brethren.

Maybe Bill even knows there are AlQaida slipping in ~ not just Mexicans and Bolivians.

Could explain some of the strange stuff he's gotten involved in over the years.
