What a load of crap. It’s evidence of the guilt that the North still bears for the war crimes inflicted upon the Southern population by the Yankee aggressors that prompts this kind of a response. I strongly suspect that the number of Southern civilians injured by Confederate war crimes was lot more than those injured by Yankee actions. The Lost Cause myth totally ignores the oppressive nature of the Confederate regime towards its own population. A lot of Southerners owed their lives to the arrival of the Union army liberators.
