WASHINGTON The government is expected to announce on Wednesday that three-quarters of the oil from the Deepwater Horizon leak has already evaporated, dispersed, been captured or otherwise eliminated and that much of the rest is so diluted that it does not seem to pose much additional risk of harm. A government report finds that about 26 percent of the oil released from BPs runaway well is still in the water or onshore in a form that could, in principle, cause new problems. But most is light sheen at the ocean surface or in a dispersed form

It is amazing how opinion polls clear the waters.
Just like it exploded a simple well blowout into a catastrophe that threatened all life and economics on the gulf coast.
The media told me so, repeatedly, almost as soon as it happened.
Actually a lot of posters here were on that bandwagon too. My comment was show me the statistics, I don’t care about oily birds on TV (I have no TV). Too much emotion, not enough reason.
Take any environmental engineering ( as long as your professor is a real engineer) class and one of the first things they teach is “dilution is the solution”. What I find as more provoking is that the gubmint is actually admitting that it is a sound engineering and scientific theory...
But I won’t get to excited until they get the EPA to rely on it for interpretation of the Clean Water Act...

If you ever listen to Rush Limbaugh (agree, curse him OR whatever) you have heard him say for months that Obama is trying to hurt the country.
If Rush is right then the drilling moratorium is about hurting the United States, not saving the environment. Many Americans are starting to get the fact that if Obama was trying to hurt the country he'd do nothing different than he's doing now.
Is Obaam Incompetent or a Dangerous Plant put here to hurt the country? The answer is becoming more obvious every day.
