Supreme Court Justices From Venus: Using The Bench To Divide America
IBD Editorials ^ | August 4, 2010 | THOMAS MCCARDLE

Posted on 08/04/2010 5:44:53 PM PDT by Kaslin

According to Saul Alinsky, the leftist founder of modern community organizing and longtime inspiration to President Obama, "One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other."

Solicitor General Elena Kagan is one step away from becoming not only a Supreme Court justice, but part of a trio TV viewers might call "Barry's Angels."

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, also appointed by Obama (for her "empathy"), and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, appointed by Bill Clinton, will with Kagan constitute a clique of women opposing the high court's male conservative wing on case after case after case.

It will be a conspicuous demarcation that the establishment media are sure to pick up and run with. Talking heads watched by millions will declare this "Supreme Gender Gap" symbolic of Ugly America vs. the Kinder, Gentler one, of John Wayne vs. Oprah, of the arrows vs. the olive branch.

The public's perception of the Supreme Court will be transformed as a consequence, with sizable political repercussions, and there is every reason to believe this was exactly the president's intention in naming women to both of his high court vacancies. Don't be surprised if he names yet another next time around.

The court's frequent 5-to-4 rulings will soon begin to attract more attention, and be seen in a new way. The liberal position on cases will become the "women are from Venus" perspective, sensitive and nuanced; the conservative position will become the "men are from Mars" insensitive prejudice, chauvinistic and simplistic.

(Clinton appointee Justice Stephen Breyer's habitually siding with the girls can be discounted as the enlightened exception that proves the male chauvinist rule.)

Men are from Mars, women are from . . . New York.

“Justice Sonia Sotomayor, also appointed by Obama (for her “empathy”), and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, appointed by Bill Clinton, will with Kagan constitute a clique of women opposing the high court’s male conservative wing on case after case after case.”

Socialists v Conservatives. The end. The rest is bull.

“The public’s perception of the Supreme Court will be transformed as a consequence.”

Too late... most already know that the elites in Washington and those on the Courts seem to have forgotten the Constitution. It’s only a matter of time before things erupt beyond their control.

Note: After watching FOX tonight and listening to Krauthammer give his explanation regarding Obamacare, I have just about given up on all these elites (I really use to like him). He is not longer fighting for the majority of the people. Seems that none of those in charge actually believe in the Constitution anyway...

There used to be some distance between American liberals and socialists, but Obama is closing that gap fast. Just one more reason November is so important . . .

These are not women of America. They are outsiders and fools.

I think these particular three are well over the socialist/liberal line ... well over ... the wide Latina obscures it.

I’m not convinced they are women at all..Kagan looks like Pat, the asexual from SNL fame, Ruth Badass Ginsberg scares me too much to get close to her (to check her breathing and pulse, of course...proof of life should be determined first) and the Wide Latina...well, insert your own reason why, it would have to be more pleasant and less likely to get me tossed...and having said all that, I do not believe that these are American women in that their sympathies are so steeped in other cultures.

Macbeth begins with three witches brewing up trouble for everybody.

Nothing new here ~ and this trio are just as repulsive as the original crew.

They are also, technically speaking, “Hispanic” ~ far over-represented given their legal percentage of the population.

I think a prerequisite for joining the bench, especially for women should be you have to have participated in a team sport. Most female athletes I know, have an innate sense of fairness and balance....they also understand the rules of any game are not changed mid-way through a game, and that there is a process for changing the rules.

At some point, we’re just going to have to stop obeying these people. At that moment, they’ll have no power over us.
