“I have been thinking of buying an old radio (small) to put in our Airstream trailer.”

You guys are really making me nostalgic tonight. My little sister and I got to spend the night once in our retired neighbors’ Airstream parked in their backyard. What a treat, we really thought we were camping out!

And radios - I wish I knew where I could get my hands on a transistor radio, my grandpa got me one in 6th grade or so and I wore out many a battery falling asleep with it to my ear, listening to pop music on FM stations. Even though I grew up in rural nw Missouri, at night I could get not only WHB in kansas city but KOMA in oklahoma and WLS in chicago!!!

We bought out Airstream on April 1st this year, so we are new to them. It is like taking a step back into time... we love it. A week from this Friday, we take off on our first real trip with it. We will travel for about a month trying to follow the sun.

For your radio, I’d try the net. I have a few vintage radios that I am looking at for the trailer.

I enjoy everything nostalgic. While I enjoy making new memories, I hang on to the older ones.

I regret that the kids of today will never get to live those simple times of innocence. I guess that’s just the way things go as the generations fly by.

I grew up in KCMO area and listened to WHB too. Those were the days weren’t they?
