A violent leftist jailed 25 years for her role in some of the most notorious radical acts of the early 1980s has died in Brooklyn.

Marilyn Buck was 62 and had been paroled from a federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas on July 15. She died Tuesday.

In 1981, Buck was part of group of militants who ambushed a Brink's armored car at a mall north of New York City. A guard and two police officers were killed during the heist.

several former members of the Weather Underground...

Gee, why would the media blackout the very radical groups (like the black separatist group, SDS, and Weather Underground) that she ran around with?

Tough luck. If she’d held on, Obama would have pardoned her. David Gilbert’s still hangin’ on, though. Bill and Bernardine will work on his behalf.

She was allowed to die free, in the comfort of a hospital bed in the company of her family.

Peter Paige, Waverly Brown and Edward O'Grady had no such good fortune as they bled to death in the streets thanks to Marilyn Buck.

When it came time for the defendants to present their case, they called only one witness, Nathaniel Burns (Sekou Odinga), who had already been convicted of multiple bank robberies. He said that his organization was "fighting for the liberation and self-determination of black people in this country." Burns testified that the killings were suitable because the three victims had interfered with the "expropriation". In his view, the theft of money was morally justified because those funds "were robbed through the slave labor that was forced on them and their ancestors." After his testimony, he was praised by the defendants and led out of the courtroom to serve his 40-year federal prison sentence. The jury was not convinced by Burns' reasoning and at the end of the trial, all three defendants were convicted of armed robbery and three counts of murder.

Couldn't find a sympathetic jury. Well...the times have changed, and now they've got a sympathetic President.

Don’t forget, Bill Clinton pardoned some of these people himself.

Oh, Brother...I ain’t forgot. If Obama wins re-election, I’d bet he’ll pardon these vermin before he’s sworn in, rather than wait ‘til the end of his second term.

Gilbert is the ultimate deadender - he could be sitting in Ayers' seat right now if he wanted.

But he refuses to acknowledge the existence of the justice system and will not give interviews to anyone.

He is the quintessential definition of a useful idiot.

Since when?

I misspoke. I meant anyone in law enforcement. He has never given an official statement to the police or the court.

He’s gains nothing by doing so.

Without doing so, he will not be eligible for parole until he's 112.

Nothing he might say could make his sentence worse, while he knows details of the organization and of the crimes that he could use to negotiate better conditions, possibly a review of his sentence, etc.

The prosecution knows that there were other people involved who were never identified - Gilbert definitely knows who they are.

Gilbert has Bill Ayers and Bernardine Doern talking to Obama on his behalf...bank it... That trumps everything. He is regarded as a political prisoner. He was a soldier, captured while doing the work of the Black Liberation Army. He walks before Obama leaves office.

P.S.

Nothing he might say could make his sentence worse...

He's serving a minimum mandatory sentence. Nothing he does could make his sentence better, either. Obama's election is an unexpected gift to these people. Seven years ago, they were decrying the imperialism of George W. Bush, trying to recapture some of their faded glory. Now, they're on top of the world.

San Francisco Police Department Sergeant Brian V. McDonnell, died Wednesday, February 18, 1970. Age: 44, Tour of Duty: 20 years. Cause of Death: Bomb.

"[S]ome investigators say they are troubled by the impunity with which Ayers and Dohrn have peddled a version of the past wiped clean of bloodshed."

Weathermen’s Ticking Time Bomb

University employees and high ranking government and media employees are facing growing difficulties protecting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ayers.

"[S]peaking publicly for the first time about the investigation, former FBI agents have told Village Voice Media the basis for their belief that the Weather Underground was behind McDonnell’s murder. The agents have revealed that two credible eyewitnesses — both former left-wing radicals tied to the Weathermen — gave detailed statements to investigators in the 1970s alleging that Dohrn and Howard Machtinger, another member of the group, were personally involved in organizing the deadly attack."
