Thanks to U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy's ruling (PDF file of preliminary injunction order) that the Endangered Species Act protections must be reinstated for wolves in both Montana and Idaho, be prepared to hear of more reports about large packs of wolves roaming the countryside in neighboring states like the one that was filmed in Oregon.  Even though neither state, Washington or Oregon, were part of the Fish and Wildlife Service's wolf reintroduction program, they are definitely a recipient of the outcome. It was the late "90"s when the first wolves made it to Oregon, now they are beginning to roam in large packs.... (excerpt)

Think about it. If you live in Oregon and think you have no dog in the fight over how many or can we hunt wolves in Idaho and Montana, think again. You may have one this big watching your animals and children if you live around Joseph in the North Eastern part of Oregon. If you live farther West in Oregon, how long do you think it will take for them to migrate across the state when a wolf can travel 100 miles in one day? This video shows that there are quite a few wolves in this pack.

So, Oregonians & Washingtonians, are you feeling as safe today as you did yesterday before the judge said he cares more about the lives of these wolves than he does about your children?

Hear that howl?

The big wolf is on the prowl

Maybe it's time to pick a dog in this fight.

The intellectuals and elites are all for re-introducing the predators back into the herd of sheep whether they are wolves, criminals, or Muslim terrorists. It wouldn’t be fair to do anything less! It’s a good way of thinning the herd.

I have no problem with Wolves.

If a rancher looses livestock to them...reimburse out of tax dollars.

Wolves don't attack people and as far as I know there's not a documented attack on humans by wolves in over 100 years.

However, Mountain Lions and Bears attack humans EVERY YEAR, multiple time per year.

Should we kill all of them too?

Britain has it’s weirdos also.

“Wolves in Wales appear to have vanished in the early medieval period. The last reference to them is in 1166 when a so-called “madwolf” was reported to have killed 22 people”

“A BIZARRE campaign is being hatched to return wild beasts such as bears and wolves to the forests of Wales.

While most conservationists in Wales are busy trying to bring back the harmless dormouse and rare butterflies from the brink of extinction, the Wild Beasts Trust is going a step further.

It is trying to bring back “man-eating” carnivores that have not been seen in the wilds of Britain for centuries, such as bears, wolves and lynx.

Inspired by the restoration of the osprey and red kite populations in Wales, the Scottish-based group said it is already reintroducing beavers, which have not lived in Britain since the mid 17th century, into Tayside and it has its sights set on Wales too.”

The wolves have the elk herd in Yellowstone and around it cut in half, so less elk to hunt. They are up in the Big Horns so will clean the elk and deer out here.

It’s not wolves, but bears here- I can think of two cases (one this Summer, the other several years back) when bears travelled through the city of Pittsburgh. Bears. Liberalism is destroying this country.

Rabid wolf?

A wolf acting in protection of young?

Or, a documented case of predation?

Even IF predation, we see dozens of cases every years of DOMESTIC DOGS killing humans...

Should we kill all of them too?

I was in Oregon for an elk hunt in the Malheur Forest of eastern Oregon in 1997. While I was there I got to thinking how much different the hunt preparations would be if there were Grizzlies in those mountains. My brother assured me that the last Grizzly South of the Columbia River had been killed 105 years before, and there was no way they could swim that!

In 1998, on the next mountain range north of where we camped, a ranger was trapped in his truck camper for hours by a big Grizzly. It seems that there may have been a secretive operation by the state biologists to re-introduce a breeding pair of the bears back into the area.

I’ve changed up to a .375-338 for all subsequent hunts.

Wolves don't attack people

Well don't you sling the propaganda around. Wolves do attack people, they attack anything that looks like food. There are many documented attacks on humans in the European records, you might want to take a look at them sometime. The BS about wolves not attacking humans is something the greenies made up in order to justify sticking them back into the states.

Ranchers don't want to be reimbursed they want to keep their herds multiplying and make money selling the meat, wool or whatever.

You are saying, fine, let the wolves kill all the livestock and let the taxpayers pay the Ranchers so they can make a profit and feed the wolves.

People used to say Mountain Lions didn't attack people either but they sure as he** do.

Think about this: Dogs are wolves closest relatives and they attack and kill people almost daily, in the US and other countries, so what makes you think that wolves, who are more vicious than any dog, will not attack and eat humans?

You are the one who made the3 STUPID comment'
Wolves don't attack people and as far as I know there's not a documented attack on humans by wolves in over 100 years.

Not me. As 5by5 said in comment #7 to you,
"Umm, Candice Berner, an Alaska school teacher was attacked and killed by wolves last March.

There are numerous documented wolf attacks on humans...

I think you are the one who needs to prove something. Facts are on my side, and I bet you never even read the article or watched the video because you are neither a hunter like my now diseased husband nor do you live in a state that has these 180 lb wolves roaming in the countryside.

And, in THAT case the Canadian Wildlife Department testified in court that death was the result of a bear attack.

I’m with you...I hate over reaction on this stuff and you make excellant points...relax. Not everyone is ready to extinguish the wolves.

and, of course, there is the historic fear of wolves.

Re-introducing wolves is just another way for socialists and other commie leaning liberal elitists to thin the human herd.
