I'm sure lots of cops have had the experience of arresting someone who had already been deported for some other crime.
Years ago I was in my patrol vehicle and I saw a drunk come staggering out of a bar. He walked to a car and I could see that he intended to get in in drive. I arrested him for drunk in public and took him to jail. Later I was told that he had been deported once before for felony drunk driving.
