The president decided to pass up the Boy Scouts of America's 100th Anniversary in order to make an "historic" appearance on ABC's "The View."
Despite the fact that the Jamboree was just a hop, skip, and a jump from the White House at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia, the president sent a recorded message instead of showing up himself.
The reaction of the Boy Scouts to the video tells the story ...
Never was a Boy Scout myself but I understand that the Jamboree means a lot to those in attendance. And the Boy Scouts have meant a lot to America over these last 100 years, developing boys into fine men with a clear idea of right and wrong, and the satisfaction of accomplishing goals that point the way to a successful, happy life.
But I guess he would rather hobnob with celebrities like Whoppi Goldberg and Barbara Walters. I think it demonstrates where this president's priorities lie.
I am an Eagle Scout ... earned the rank many years ago ... and am constantly reminded how important the organization is to young men who have enough wisdom and ambition to participate in its programs.
Scouts teach young men numerous admirable qualities such as: citizenship, leadership, self-reliance, respect for God, respect for nature, respect for others, and personal responsibility. These are traits which libtards such as Obozo detest; traits which make the man an anathema to just about anybody who has gained much from Scouting.
I must admit, quite openly and with great pride, that had I been in attendance at the Jamboree, my voice would have been added to those expressing disdain at his appearance ... videotaped or live.
Incidents such as this make me proud of our youth, proud of the Scouts, and hopeful for the future of America.
The fawning, homophiliac MSM at ABCNNBCBS will ignore this.

I only made it to second class, but my souting years were important to my growth as a young man.
The Won will be at UT Austin tomorrow and will be fawned over by the liberal hippie tree huggers who “Keep Austin Weird” (city motto for the blue blight in the middle of Texas).

I never realized until reading similar threads about this incident that scouts are always supposed to root for the team that wants their eventual destruction and abolishment as a sign of respect.
A boo is not a curse or a profanity, it is sign of offense shown by the offended to react to a slight or a misdeed done against them.
Lustily? I thought Boy Scouts were supposed to be clean and articulate.
The idiot was to busy going to a sign factory in the white house helicopter..It was a 6 mile trip that would have taken him 20 minutes to go to in a car..He had to thank his union workers for making the signs he ordered..Besides the Boy Scouts are Christian and he is Muslim and Communist.... Why would the Boy Scouts want him and any of their Jamboree’s..
I too am a former Eagle Scout. . .but I think the reaction of the Scouts to Obama’s snub is not the whole story. . .his most heinous crime against the Boy Scouts is his REFUSAL to sign the document that is awarded to all new Eagle Scouts to certify their achievement. The Eagle Scout certificate has been signed by every sitting President since the inception of the BSA. It is a far greater slap in the face, in my opinion, than not appearing in person to speak at the jamboree, which is bad enough. Of course, the issue is this President’s deep ties to the LGBT constituency, for whom he had no problem to show up and speak at their convention.
I think the scouts were upset because, of all the attributes a Scout strives to be worthy of, the person speaking down to them can only claim “clean”...

The real reason that he didn’t attend the Jamboree is because of politics.
The Boy Scouts are a liberal/radical target because of their stand on homosexual scout leaders. The fact that they have such standards offends the sensibilities of the liberals. Obama could not be seen as providing any sort or honor or saying anything good about the Boy Scouts. To his liberal/radical base, the Boy Scouts are a loathsome organization.
That thinking says more about the liberals and radicals than it does about the Boy Scouts, but, that’s the political reality the president faces. He’s got to prove to his base that he is liberal enough to ignore a fine organization such as the Boy Scouts.
Speaking of which, scanning through newspaper web sites, I found very few MSM outlets which congratulated the Boy Scouts on their recent 100th birthday. Likewise, the MSM takes a dim view of the Boy Scouts due to the gay issue.
Once again Obama shows that he is an Anti American POS with zero class to go along with it.
I wasn’t aware that he was dong that? How truly classless!Perhaps the next President will take the time to sign all of the ones who earned it during this term so they won’t be blank.
