Oh for God’s sake. The woman is an attorney and has a terrific resume.
That's the problem.
Bachmann and Ryan are both rising stars, but if the 08 election proved anything, it was that you don’t elect people to the Presidency who don’t have executive experience. It was no coincidence that only twice during the 20th century, did the country see fit to elect a Senator directly to the Presidency. (Harding and Kennedy) Americans, it seems as a rule, elected Vice Presidents, Governors or Generals, and they did so for a reason; LEADERSHIP! The Presdiency is not an entry level position as we’re now finding out the hard way.
I think Americans will be very hesitant to elect a member of either House of Congress to the Presidency next time around. IMO, that’s why Gov. Palin will be the favorite, followed by more big gov’t types like Pawlenty and Romney. Gov. Jindal’s the sleeper (if they ever work out the “Natural Born Citizen” issue) and boy would I pay money to see Gov. Jindal debate Pres. Obama on Health Care.
I like Jindal/Ryan, myself. Those are two candidates, they CANNOT label as lacking intelligence.
ditto. Not sure why some are playing the experience card with Palin. Once 2012 comes around Obama will have had more executive experience than Palin so that’s not what the election is going to be about.
