Neal was fantastic in “A Face in the Crowd”, with Andy Griffith and Walter Matthau.

RIP.

If anything should happen to me you must go to Gort, you must say these words, “Klaatu barada nikto”

I wonder if that would work on Obama? :-)

Please do, the special effects are corny by today's standards, but an enjoyable movie and a classic!

“I loved her as an actress-—Jeeze, I hope she wasn’t a liberal”

Dunno, but the married Neal was impregnated by a married Gary Cooper a supposedly devout Catholic. He was able to convince her to abort the child for the sake of their careers.

In 1953, she married Roald Dahl, the British writer famed for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "James and the Giant Peach" and other tales for children. They had five children. They divorced in 1983 and he died in 1990.

I was doing a little reading on Dahl a few weeks ago and saw this. I was surprised for some reason.

Yep, that’s actually the first one that came to my mind.

She had a unique American kind of beauty. There was strength in it and quality. Despite strokes and lung cancer she stayed with us for 84 years. RIP.

She regreted this abortion and along with actress Jennifer O’Neil have spoken openly about the emotional aftermath and regrets after having an abortion.

I think she was an amazing woman/actress.

Yes but she had a nervous breakdown from that abortion and said it nearly destroyed her life.
