Since when did the left and gays care about marriage? They’ve done nothing but criticize and degrade it since the 60’s, now all of a sudden it’s this magical institution? It’s like the mosque at ground zero; nothing more than an opportunity to spit on something Americans place value on.

The liberals think that traditional marriage is a patriarchial archiac oppressive institution to the female partner. The propaganda is that the male partner gets all the benefits of traditional marriage, while the female is oppressed.
But, when it comes to same-sex marriage, the liberals celebrate these relationships as an affirmation of love and committment and togetherness and all that.
So, traditional marriage = bad to the liberals
homosexual marriage = good to the liberals
It’s not marriage itself they oppose, it’s the type of marriage which they take issues with.
