It's rarely convincing when tea party activists brush off attacks on the movement by claiming that the bad apples at their rallies are really agents provocateurs. That's just too convenient. Sometimes, the people who make you look bad actually are part of your movement. But a videographer at this weekend's Fancy Farm political celebration in Kentucky hounded a man wearing Rand Paul swag and holding up a racist anti-immigrant sign, badgered him to reveal who he was. The cameraman caught back up with him when, later, the man walked with supporters Paul's opponent, Jack Conway.

Here he is at a meeting of the Calloway county Democratic party.
Dems is soooooo stupid!....................
I wonder if he really ever learned what the Capos were in WWII Germany.
“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.” - Kurt Cobain
‘Slate’ published that? Wow.
It rarely convincing for Leftist propaganda sites like Slate to make arguments that are counter to all documented facts about the well publicized organized attempts to infiltrate and discredit the Tea Party by Leftist kook websites.
Putting your hands over your ears screaming "no-no-no" Slate does make the facts magically change to fit your bigoted political feelings.
David, that's a great point... take a look in your mirror.
So Weigel sets up his piece by claiming Tea party crazies aren’t always infiltrators and then goes on to discredit his own premise. I guess all the exposed JournoList propagandists will be heading to trash-rags like Slate.
So, yes the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky street/campus revolutionary rabble and their ideological issue do offer some truth from time to time.
But it only goes so far.
the pro-war Protest Warriors used to infiltrate rallies and wave signs that made liberals look stupid.
I believe that is true but.. I know of it only because the Protest Warriors announced their plans ahead of time. There was no intention to deceive.. it was more along the line of mocking and satire. IMO.
Freepers, we have to learn how to read these types of things. Weigel isn’t saying that the infiltration was wrong. He is saying it was DONE wrong.
Take a look:
First, the title: “Tea party infiltration done wrong.” See, his complaint is that it was done wrong, not that it was done.
“It’s rarely convincing when tea party activists brush off attacks on the movement by claiming that the bad apples at their rallies are really agents provocateurs. That’s just too convenient.”
OK, here’s the meme that he wants to establish and that he wants other leftists to help establish.
“The cameraman caught back up with him when, later, the man walked with supporters Paul’s opponent, Jack Conway.”
Here’s where someone screwed up, in other words did the “infiltration wrong.” This is a warning NOT to do the same thing.
“But tea party organizers are increasingly obsessed with ousting liberal pranksters from their events and proving to the media that there’s no actual racism in their own movement.”
See, Tea Partiers are OBSESSED. They are scary OBSESSED people.
“Thus, video cameras; thus, stuff like this.”
Here’s the warning. Those scary obsessed tea partiers have CAMERAS. The SHOCK.
Boil it down, and this is what he’s really saying: Infiltrate away, just don’t screw up like this guy, it ruins the meme, and beware that scary obsessed Tea Partiers have - shock - cameras! Don’t get caught!
Couldn’t be clearer...
Remarkable that a leftist rag like SLATE actually outed one of its own!
Nice ‘rat you caught there!
Nasty litle things, aren’t they?
:-)
MAN YOU NAILED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because youre paranoid doesnt mean they arent after you. - Kurt Cobain
“Honey, I think this shotgun’s broken. Can you see anything?” - Courtney Love
(Sorry. That is in bad taste.)
It doesn't make him unloyal or no longer a friend, he has stated that he still remains very close to the Clintons. I am a hardcore democrat and I generally like Hillary as a person. Richardson needs to do what is best for him; and what I believe what is best for the country ( not saying Clinton wouldnt be a good president I am saying it because I want the nomination to be filled so we can take down McCain.) God Bless

My thought too as I read that headline.
