Fuel and tire taxes that support the highway system make sense to me. Income tax and taxes on investment income and interest do not.
AND it's good because it's less "progressive". (Anything a libtard hates has to be a good thing, right? They even go so far as to call them "regressive") The higher percentage of people who bear the burden, and the more noticeably, the better.
A system where tax collection is painless and inflicted on only a subset of the population, yet everyone else still gets to vote, is a system ripe for vote whoring with YOUR tax dollars.
