I know it's somewhat old news...but in the midst of a mayoral election down here, and the fact all MPD did was chase the kids INTO the metro...then washed their hands...

This is a good example of why public transportation is strictly for the birds.

...our nation’s capital is a savage place after dark...I used to hate it when my wife taught at George Washington...especially in the winter when it got dark early.

There are dozens and dozens of different police organizations in DC and MPD doesn't have jurisdiction everywhere.

When you get into METRO you pick up Maryland and Virginia police organizations.

There's also a METRO Police operation.

Do any of you guys remember Hillary Clinton's boyfriend? One day he showed up dead in Fort Marcy Park. That case involved several federal agencies ~ just for starts. The National Park Service led the investigation.

Multiply that by 100 and you get an idea of what goes on in DC.
