BRITISH academic and outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins has angered Muslim groups by comparing the burqa to a trash bag.

Muslim organisations reacted angrily...

"I think it is ignorant and Islamaphobic," said Seyyed Ferjani, of the Muslim Association of Britain.

In 2008 he said: "It's almost impossible to say anything against Islam in this country, because you are accused of being racist or Islamophobic."

He’s right, but he’s still an ignorant cuss in religious (particularly Christian) matters.

Racist or Islamaphobic?

Well, last time I checked, Islam isn't a race!

And as to being afraid of it (phobic about it)...well, yes. Is it a crime to fear your enemy (said war having been declared by the agents of Islam)?

"I think it is ignorant and Islamaphobic,"

I don't think the protected classes actually know what Phobic means. The only people who are islamaphobic are the gutless politicians who allow muslims protected status. The rest of us don't fear islam as much as we hate the SOBs.

Funny how atheists AVOID islam.

So much safer to criticize Christianity...

I bet atheist boy apologizes. It’s OK for him to bash Christians but he will learn to kowtow to the Muslims like a good boy.

Christians tend not to chop off heads or blow themselves up in markets when angered.

He’s an atheist, but at least he’s consistent.

He’s not ignorant, he just doesn’t buy it.

Just wow:

“In one Muslim school he investigated for his documentary none of the pupils believed in evolution.

He said: “Their first recourse was not ‘What’s the evidence?’ but ‘What does the Koran say?’””

If the Christian west had done this, we would probably be a couple centuries further along in science, and I’m not kiddin.

Funny how atheists AVOID islam.

Atheists like Christopher Hitchens and Pat Condell have always spoken out against Islam, not to mention the Fatwa-magnet Salman Rushdie.

Maybe you should read up on your "Christian" history. Burning heretics, inquisitions, putting them to the question, etc. etc. was the norm.

I wish atheists like Dawkins would learn to pick their battles and go after the most signifigant threats to their atheism first and that is not christianity.
