” Her letter urging support of LOST was in 2007 and addressed to the now deceased Sen.Stevens. She had no idea that McCain would be running in 2008 or that she would be a VP candidate. “

Oh, but the EXCUSES by the Palinstinians are to die for ;-)

” You got that right, I also remember when Reagan threw Olly North under the bus. I can’t see Palin doing that. “

No, Palin threw a former congressman with a 98% ACU conservative rating under the bus for a globalist, socialist traitor,(who is also in bed with George Soros) John McCain.

ROFL. Now it’s chrystal clear. Another Palin Cultist trying to pump her non-existent foreign policy creds up by tearing down the best President since George Washington.

I'm doing this as your teaching moment, to point out how moot arguments can tear down the best President and now candidate we've had since George Washington.

Very nice post #99, generally we agree. Pissant brain however seems to default to the usual, baseless, here-say one-liners when it comes to Palin. All counterproductive and you'd be the better not supporting him.

After reading your #99, I bet you could write a doosy in the factual accomplishments of Sarah.

If Sarah runs, she has my 100000% support 24/7. Sarah is me. Sarah is who I grew up around, sarah is who made this country what it is, sarah is my heart felt choice.

HHOOWWEEVVEERR

We first and foremost have to defeat obama and the left in 2010 and 2012.

If she is the one, great, sign me up and i am on board 100000000000% on the Sarah train. I will donate my time, energies, monies etc towards that end.

But, i do think there are others who can defeat the left in 2012 other than her too, which include Thune.

JD was never on Palin's bus. Big Big difference.

IIRR JD , for a long time, didn't officially throw his hat in the ring. After watch the AZ debate on youtube, of the three, McCain, JD and Deaks(?), I prefer Deaks, but know that's not realistic. So I would vote for JD.

Sarah says either a Republican or Democrat will win and we should all stick with the GOP. It's her judgment, at the time, that McCain had the best chance of doing that. I defer and respect her political judgment. I also listening and reading what she actually says, I'm in basic agreement. And much of what she says is opposite McCain.

I would prefer folks not bring up Reagan in order to pump up Palin.  Please address her actions and leave Reagan out of it.

She is not the best candidate since George Washington.  It doesn't detract from her to say that, because nobody expects her to be.  She is a good woman who has positives and negatives.

Address her positives and acknowledge her negatives.  I don't think any of us want anything more or less.

If some of her negatives cancel out some of her positives, that is a fair thing to address.  Some of the folks here are doing that.  It seems like that's all they do, because there are folks on the other end of the spectrum that are unable to see anything negative that she has done.  Both sides should meet somewhere near the middle.  Her negatives are not quite as bad as some have stated, but then she's not as pristine as her supporters claim she is either.  She is fallible.  She is human.  I think some folks have honestly lost sight of that.  That doesn't make them bad people, but it does make them woefully off base.

Is it right to back McCain?  Unquestionably not.  Is it good to support the LOST Treaty?  Absolutely not.  Is it okay to talk about immigration reform as the fix to that problem?  No.

It's not being unfair to say these things.  It is unfair not to agree with them.

Is it good for her to support the Tea Party movement?  Yes, as long as she says and does the right things.  Saying McCain is a Tea Party member is wrong.  It implies that his vision is one with the Tea Party.  Anyone buying into that would then believe that his set of principles was solid.  It is not.  It would cause folks to  be misled by McCain, and the Tea Party to be tarnished if folks thought McCain was at one with it.  If Sarah Claims to be a Tea Party member and then endorses McCain, it once again sends some very twisted messages.

Look folks, I support her raising money on behalf of the Republican party.  I will say that if she is raising that money to gain favors that will see her be able to turn the right toward the left, as in backing John McCain or other bad policy, that money will be tainted.  It will mean that something negative will have to paid out in return for that support.  That bothers me.

I'm not trying to be unfair to Palin at all.  I just think we're seeing some mixed messages being sent out right now, and I don't care for it.

Thank you for the compliment and mention of agreement.

I've not seen Pissant blow it on these threads.  I think Pissant's heart is in the right place, and I have either stridently or loosely agreed with everything I've seen posted up to this point.

After reading your #99, I bet you could write a doosy in the factual accomplishments of Sarah.

I could recite some things that I think are great about Sarah.  In the process I would have to include some things that I don't think are great.  They would both be factual.  They would be things that are on the record.  I'd much rather see folks acknowledge what is out there without ignoring some of the negatives that make up at least a part of who Sarah is.  I don't think the folks you think of as Palin haters or whatever, actually dislike her as much as you think they do.  They harp on her negatives because they see no acknowledgement from her supporters that those things are real and truly negative.

No, she's not some demon.  She's not some saint either.

If you folks would budge a bit, I think this whole 'go for the throat' situation would resolve itself rather quickly.

After watching BushBots claim something tantamount to immactuate perception for ten years, they are very leery of letting Palin continue to be worshiped without trying to bring people's feet back down to the ground.  We want to see a wide open field develop in late 2011, that will allow us to finally drift behind the very best most solid candidate possible.

Forming some sort of psychological bond with someone this early on, that defies all logic and reason, is the worst possible thing we could do at this stage of the game.

At the core, I think that's all that Palin's detractors are trying to convey.  Just keep it on an even keel that bears some connection to reality.  That's all.

Unfortunately it has come down to a do as I say, not as I do for Sarah. These are great values, but back John McCain (who disagrees with them) for re-election. Sorry, it doesn’t compute.

John was unworthy of her endorsement on any merit whatsoever.

Thank you. I try to make it very easy for folks to follow.

I do wind up having to disagree with people I like more than I want to. Wish I didn’t.

My latest over worked cliche for those situations is, "Sorry it had to be that way."
