Citizenship, sovereignty and the assault on America’s constitutional republic - ALAN KEYES

Almost all conservatives profess greatly to admire America’s founders. They also declare their allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. Yet some are also vocal in their condemnation of “democracy”, and their conviction that the United States is not a democracy but a republic.

When stated with proper precision, I understand and agree with this view. Sadly, such precision is rarely in evidence these days. This was not so when the Constitution was written.

“Since the day the Obama faction assumed overall control of the U.S. government, the nation’s political life has been haunted by that simple question. Who is a citizen? Who has the authority to define the citizen body of the people of the United States?”

Good point.

I thought Alan Keyes ate Alan Dershowitz’ lunch in their past debate about free exercise of religion.....Dershowitz made the bizarre claim (this is what certain people get away with in the Ivy League and press these days) that the second amendment as pertains to “free exercise” protects only “what we think” and not what we do-—OR ELSE-—said Dershowitz, people could commit murder and claim a religious exemption from the law. There was so much wrong with his conception that one wondered how people like him became “mainstream” and somebody like Keyes is marginalized ....

First of all——why would the Founders write a law guaranteeing freedom of “thought”? Nobody knows what we think except by what we say or write-—therefore freedom of thought is protected under freedom or speech and press, because that’s the only way people know what we think. By the way-——normal judges would define “speech” as “the spoken word” and “press” as “the printed or written word”...ie words, ie language used to communicate thoughts and ideas and emotions, etc.

There is NO “establishment clause”.....that was a lie created by the anti-establishment liberals. Law respecting an “establishment of religion” means —having anything to do with a religious establishment, ie a church. Government has no right to regulate religion and churches—they are to be free and independent....same as the free and indepedent press and speech.

Love that media spin about how a federal judge “overturned the ban on same-sex marriage”. What “ban”?

Next thing we’ll hear is that some court “overturned the ban against sex with children and polygamy” or that a court “overturned the ban on socialized medicine” etc.

The media is providing cover for the lawlessness of a federal judge to give it a veneer of lawfulness, ie that he’s striking down an unconstitutional law...when in fact the judge is NOT striking down marriage.....he’s illegally rewriting the California Constitution to redefine marriage in direct opposition for the reason why it was defined, ie to regulate HETEROSEXUALITY that produces babies and discourage non-marital and homosexual behavior.....

What Dershowitz doesn’t seem to get is that we HAVE “separation of church and state” because we live under the secular law regardless of our religion...thus there can be no religious exemption from murder regardless of holy motive........murder is murder......the State has cooercive lawmaking authority, but the church and press were MEANT to have equivalent power to persuade.......

“Citizen” is a seldom-used word these days; “taxpayer” is used much more often. “Citizen” needs to be brought back to life.

You were a citizen. Now you are a consumer who pays taxes for the right to shop in Obamaland. Not only that, you have to pay for other consumers who do not pay taxes to shop.

It's democracy. They got together and outvoted you, so they can now have your money, minus the Gov cut, of course.

Vote for ME!
I will give you Jerry's money!

And Jerry, if you had that money in your pocket, the democratically elected government feels you would do something really stupid with it... like buy cigarettes to smoke in your SUV ... or wrongly select a high fat diet for your children. So, for your own good, the democratically elected government MUST take your money. Do you understand?

Sadly, yes. I’m too stupid to know what’s best for me; but the government knows!!!!
