Huckabee has no shot at 2012 - he is socially conservative, but a little to liberal on the fiscal side.

On their home turf, 2 southern boys managed to endorse a guy who won by a few thousand votes? Really want to brag that up?
If you cannot do better then this on your own turf, your boys are toast everywhere else.

Handel ( IMHO ) was poorly served by her campaign near the election in that the Handel robo calls were ‘ugly’ negative.
They turned me off. I voted for her anyways, because I wanted to send the message that establishment ‘Pubbies are not my first choice. Deal is arguably more conservative that Handel, but he’s been in DC too long to be fully supported.

Handel beat Handel.
Handle went totally negative on Deal at the last second.
I am on a number of mailing lists of politically active groups in GA since I am planning to live there soon. A number of them switched from Handel to Deal this weekend because of those attack ads.
Handel made a bad mistake making her last minute appeal on ethic charges filed against Deal by wacko Leftist group CREW. Those ads rally pissed quite a few people in GA.

I was wondering why you chose not to copy the headline and instead mangle it for us.
But looks like the writer did some mangling of his own:
But in George Tuesday, Nathan Deal upset conventional wisdom and Karen Handel
Apparently, caring about what you write is a lost art...

Oh Great and Wise Mods,
Can you help this poor guy out? He is a victim of headline-no-spell-check-itis. Also, you may want to move this out of ‘news’ and into ‘bloggers’ before the mafia arrive and inform him of his faux pas.

Huckelberry almost cost Deal my and my wife's vote, but Handel was so bad I had to vote for Deal.

is it true that Deal was a registered Democrat until ‘95?

I doubt that the Huckster’s endorsement made much, if any, difference in this contest.

No big deal, if you take the endorsement of a 2 time accomplice to murder.

Liberals are hoping to portray Palin as recklessly destroying the Republican Party in the hope that she doesnt destroy the Democratic Party in November.
