PRESIDENT: That’s right, especially as we continue to recover from an extraordinary recession that still has so many Americans hurting: parents without a job who struggled to put presents under the Christmas tree; families and neighbors who’ve seen their home foreclosed; folks wondering what the new year will bring.

But even in these tough times, there’s still so much to celebrate this Christmas. A message of peace and brotherhood that continues to inspire more than 2,000 after Jesus’ birth.[snip]

Is that an acutal quote? More than 2000 WHAT after Jesus' birth? Jesus inspires more than 2000? Just admit it, 0bama, you're a muslim.

"It was responsible for the birth of the US Navy."

Are you referring to the Barbary Coast pirats? If so, you need to go a little further back. John Paul Jones, Serapis, Bon Homme Richard.

That was the Continental Navy which was disbanded after the war.

See the Naval Act of 1794.

Then why is John Paul Jones called the father of the U.S. Navy. Seems that he would have been the founder of the Contintal Navy. But we can agree to disagree.

Never heard him called that. He was a major force in the Continental Navy which was the forerunner of the US Navy which was formed by the Naval Act of 1794 to fight the Barbary pirates.

Suffice it to say without John Paul Jones and others like him there would not be an America today.

I thought the ‘Father of the Navy’ was Commodore Barry?

From Wikipedia:

John Barry (March 25, 1745 – September 13, 1803) was an officer in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War and later in the United States Navy. He is often credited as “The Father of the American Navy”. Barry was born in Tacumshane, County Wexford, Ireland and appointed a Captain in the Continental Navy on December 7, 1775.

It's obvious that the Muslims have installed their man in the White House.

They've got us by the balls. That's why Obama doesn't care about his poll numbers and vacations more than he works.

Then first lady, Hillary Clinton, started what has become a WH tradition, by hosting the first WH dinner during Ramadan for Muslim guests in 1996.

Recall, of course, the bombing of the WTT in '93. Nice how our presidents reward the Muslim community. /s

I have NO idea, which president was the first to send Muslims "Ramadan" greetings in a such public fashion as we've seen since they've attacked us.

“I have NO idea, which president was the first to send Muslims “Ramadan” greetings in a such public fashion as we’ve seen since they’ve attacked us.”

Except for 2001, Bush sent greetings each year of his presidency. Here are a few archived pages from 2002

Oh yeah, he most certainly is. One of the reasons he has a 24/7 Marine Honor guard in front of his tomb at Anapolis. He was orignally buried in France (Gag), then he was disinterred and brought back for burial at the Naval Academy. H was also an Admiral in the Navy of Catherine the Great.

As your FR name alludes, you may have distant crossing with the US Naval Forces. ;-)

I mean no disrespect to John Paul Jones, I am just trying to be historically accurate.
