Turning the lights on in media blackout Arizona (blatant, unconstitutional censorship)
Canada Free Press ^ | August 13, 2010 | Judi McLeod

imageEarth to Arizona mainstream media: patriots are already piercing sparks of bright light through your media blackout.

“Media censorship in Arizona has now become quite blatant.  Can Canada Free Press help,” patriot Annette McHugh writes CFP this morning.  “Not only do the anti-SB1070 protesters get more media coverage than the pro-SB1070 supporters, but now there is blatant, unconstitutional censorship occurring in Arizona of media attempts to silence Conservative voices, activities, rallies, press releases and press conferences of Arizona Tea Parties!”

It seems that silence is not golden but deafening in Senator John McCain country.

-SNIP-

Hugh’s concerns are echoed by Pam Stevenson, AZ Director, Tea Party Patriots: “Last week the media was invited to the Press conference announcing that 16 Arizona TEA Parties were supporting/endorsing J.D. Hayworth for the senate race.  Although media representatives showed up from local TV stations, radio stations and newspapers—NONE of them ran the story,” Stevenson wrote in an SOS to patriots.

The media drank the bottled water, fanned themselves in the oppressive heat, returned to their offices and disappeared under a wall of it-didn’t-happen silence.

-SNIP-

“Please alert your groups that the media has shut us down and we need to let the nation know that we will not be silent.  We need to have hundreds of Tea Party members emailing their complaints and then blasting their phone lines if they ignore our emails.

-SNIP-

Meanwhile, the Tea Party Movement has two mighty weapons to fight off the media blackout in Sen. John McCain country:  Word of mouth and taking the story viral via the mightier-than-media Internet.

Somewhere the light is starting to pierce the darkness in media blackout Arizona.

If the Government is not doing the censoring, there is nothing unconstitutional going on.

OK Arizona Freepers, you’re now the eyes and ears for the rest of us to know what’s going on down there...one viral email - faithfully forwarded - will reach more peeps than the so-called “mainstream media” anyway...show them we don’t need them, and let their sponsors know too...they ain’t $hi+ without their sponsors.

This is not the America I grew up in. It has become a fasciast, propagandized and partisan nation.

Some dizzy broad from Scottsdale is sending a letter to the editor to all of the papers advising “brown people” to report any and all traffic stops to the bigoted Eric Holder and the DOJ. She also advised the “brown people” to wash their cars and fix anything that needs to be repaired. I would advise all “white people” who are stopped by minority cops to do the same thing. Since many minority cops joined in lawsuits against Arizona, I suspect that they could take their anger out on “white people” with a little “reverse racial profiling”. I doubt the DOJ will do anything about it but at least they’ll have a few good laughs.

The most powerful weapon of the leftist MSM is often deciding to not cover something. They've been doing this for years. And they've always been happy to help Juan McCain, as long as he wasn't so uppity as to think they'd give him a fair shake when running for president against a leftist Dim.

But they are glad to help the backstabber McCain against an actual conservative. McCain has been a valuable tool for the left over the years.

” If the Government is not doing the censoring, there is nothing unconstitutional going on. “

Exactly — lately, there’s been a common misconception that ‘freedom of speech’ somehow includes some kind of ‘right’ to be paid attention to...

It doesn’t....

Something a little odd about this. They turned up, but NONE reported it? To announce an endorsement? Having worked on both sides of this fence for years, there is an element of this story missing. Endorsements may or may not be worth a story. But editors do not, as a rule, send people out to be present at events they are not going to cover. They are not inclined to waste manpower like that. I would like to see the agenda that the Tea Party people put together for the event, who spoke, and what was said.

My advice to the Tea Parties in AZ... Openly denounce the TV and Radio stations that choose to ignore the story. Call them out on it. Ask the News Directors why this is “not newsworthy”...and why the anti enforcement groups are getting the coverage! Is this discrimination? Is the pro-illegal story more compelling? Why?

My guess..somebody (SEIU...etc) is greasing the palms of the News Directors to minimalize the Tea Party... unless of course 15 Tea Party folks show up to protest - as opposed to the Union’s 100’s or 1000’s of bussed in protestors.

The left want the illegals to use for votes in November, they want to minimalize the Tea Party. How about getting your chapters to meet out in front of the number one Television station there and call a press conference about the blackout? Get your video cameras out and tape their responses. YouTube is a very powerful tool these days, along with Facebook!

How pathetic that we need a “Radio Free Europe” now. I remember that from growing up, with relatives behind the Iron Curtain.

In AZ it is now legal to carry, openly or concealed, without any sort of license or registration [a very good thing].
Should the police start abusing the citizenry [especially something as suspicious as that NV Costco shooting] they may well find themselves staring down the barrel of a gun; also, there is a law in the US Code titled “conspiracy against rights” which [under certain circumstances such as kidnapping can be punished by death... so the people of AZ not only have the moral right/duty to stand up for themselves, but the [possible] legal backing to counter an out-of-control group of officials acting contrary to justice.

According to Gallup, only 25% of Americans have confidence in newspapers, only 22% have confidence in TV news.

Were they smart ebnough to tape the even themsevles or did they expect the media yo be honest and fair? If they did tape it, they should release it on Youtube and other video pplatforms and send to fox et al. If not, they are terminally retarded.

LOL - I was referring to the absence of reporting the endorsement.
