WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Friday endorsed plans for a Muslim mosque two blocks from ground zero in New York City, declaring that "Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country."
In remarks prepared for delivery at a White House dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Obama said all Americans have the right to worship as they choose.
"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances, Obama said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable."

You cant use the word “co exist” when its intent is to supplant and replace the government. Islam is a invasive government with its own judiciary that we see in the concept of Sharia. Islam has family, government, judiciary all rolled into one which they market here under the name “religion”.
As an invasive whose real intent is to overrun the government, it is in fact an enemy of the state...only thing lacking is guns/other weapons, but, then again, their military arm..Alquaeda, hamas, hezbollah etc etc have that handled. Every country has its handle for the jihadis.

Churches and synagogues are denied build permits on a regular bases for various reasons. Denying a build permit doesn't infringe on their 1st amendment rights. Nothing in the Constitution guarantees that a religious organization can build a house of worship anywhere they want. The only reason Muslims want to build this Mosque near Ground Zero is to celebrate what they consider their greatest victory over the west. If we let them build it we will be acknowledging their triumph. It will be used show all their brethren worldwide that they, in fact, are winning.
They have the RIGHT(???) to commit mass murder of those not of their belief system?????

I don't remember any Christian leaders from around the world being invited to the White House dinner in honor of our Holy days! He even skipped the tradion of all the previous Presidents - to attend the National Prayer Breakfast to pray for our country.
Who does he think he's kidding with his benevolent pretense of honoring ALL religions? So far, it's been ONE - the religion of islam & their god allah. He publicly said the muslim call to prayer was the sweetest sound on earth. I think those giant ears of his need some checking out!!!

This question deserves to be highlighted after this statement by our one-time (at a minimum) Muslim President, speaking after having a Muslim celebratory feast at the White House:
"Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country."
What if their religion includes jihad, which calls for the murder of non-Muslims? What if their religion includes the imposition of Shariah Law, which demands the stoning of women for adultery? What if their religion requires that non-Muslims be treated as dhimmis, people who are at best third class citizens?
Allowing Muslims to practice their religion requires the overthrow of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. That's what Barack Hussein Obama (unknown if legally American) and our President says.
Barry's really stepped in it this time. The "optics" are all bad. Ramadan dinner, comes out and supports Muslims over and above the American People. Let's ask Barry on November 3rd, how that 'post-American' thing is working out for him. His fellow Democrats are going to string this guy up in February. If the "Summer of Recovery" has been this bad, how's that long, cold winter going to look for the Democrats. Birtherism will return with a vengeance as a Democrat idea, again.
