According to a friend, White House is being evatuated, and its chaos around there....FYI ....Finding no news...

Hey all. I don’t know about they WH but WTOP has just reported there was an electrical generator fire underground near 15th, F, and G streets - basically right near the WH - and that the Willard and W hotels are being, or were, essentially evacuated. Very quickly, too: evidently there are people in their bathroves out on the street. Yes I just noticed the typo and I am keeping it in.

On the other hand, just went through all the local DC sources and NOTHING YET, but it's Saturday Night, and coming to you live from New York, more dopers! So who knows what's going on over there at the Obama place.
Oh, flames from underground electrical fires drive people out of hotels near WH, et al. No injuries.
This happens all the time around here. Plus EXPLODING MANHOLE COVERS ~ could happen@!

Hey, there may be a plot here yet,, they had another electrical fire Thursday... could be a bad batch of transformers or cable kind of thingy firing up coincidentally or the circuits are overloading from all the porn being downloaded in the area.
