Anyway, I’ve been wondering if Islam has anything to do with the fact that the Obamas don’t celebrate birthdays, or exchange gifts on Christmas. Does Islam forbid the celebration of birthdays?
No-they don't. Just Mohammad's birthday.

I can’t believe that this hasn’t come up whenever Obama’s birthday or that of his children is discussed. I have never once seen a single comment about the fact Muslims don’t celebrate birthdays. We have heard that Obama does not give his daughters presents on their birthdays, but never heard about it being a Muslim custom.
