Have we ever had a president so disconnected from the heart of America?
On Friday night, at a White House iftar, the breaking of the Ramadan fast, Obama strode directly into the blazing controversy over whether a mosque should be built two blocks from Ground Zero.
Speaking as though this were simply an open-and-shut case of constitutional law, Professor Obama declared that Muslims "have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country," including "the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan."
Hailed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who also sees this as an issue of tolerance and religious freedom, Obama had poured gasoline on a fire that had him in headlong retreat Saturday morning.
"I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding. That is what our country is about."
Professor Obama finally seemed to grasp the point.
This is not a question of "Can they build a mosque near Ground Zero?"
It is an question of "Should they build a mosque in the shadow of the twin towers, where 3,000 Americans were suffocated, crushed or burned to death by Islamic fanatics whose Muslim faith was integral to their mission of mass murder and to their identify?"

He made up that title for himself after landing a part time teaching gig, and he only got THAT through political patronage.
That is, if anybody cared what the Constitution actually says.
He lies about every detail that slithers out of his mouth. The substance, data, interpretation and meaning of every detail. He lies about his birth, his associates, his appointees, his policies, his activities, his thoughts, his family, everything. It's as if he can't speak a word without turning it into a dozen lies. Does anybody truly believe he has been a citizen from birth. Does anybody truly believe that he rejects the venom of Wright, Ayers, Jones, and hundreds of others, including his own spouse? Does anybody truly believe that he loves this country and wants the best for its people?
Mr. President, you're a lying sack of crap.
When you vote someone into the presidency without the experience of a t-shirt stand manager, you get turd-in-the-punchbowl results.

Seems like he is just out of the loop when using that description. This man and his administration and those that put him there know exactly what they are doing, and are in direct OPPOSITION to the Constitution and those who live under the Constitution.
Seems to me that this administration has broken their promise to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and should ALL be impeached.

Liar. Watch the video of him making his comments. His eyes say all you need to know. He is one with the audience and their applause.
Obama is now trying to claim that he only meant they have the right in general, but his own words convict him of what he really meant when he specified the location of the site in lower Manhattan.
Islamists have no right to push for Sharia Law and overthrow of the US Constitution.
That's exactly what makes this a real war. They are doing it anyway. We have to fight to stop it.

They are one and the same.
The SCOTUS has held, for at least the last fifty years, that the First Amendment applies to state and local government through the 14th Amendment. Even Justice Thomas has accepted that view.
