This community board is a crock, and every member should be voted off. Probably inclusive of a bunch of liberal rockheads. The 9/11 attack caused enormous suffering in this area of Manhattan. Who are these leftist fools to tell the people who live there that they now have to deal with a mosque.

The board is very unprofessional. Its a 130 million dollar building and they never even had an abstract of property title with the application? SHeesh!

If half of the block is under leasehold from Con Edison which contains a purchase option, the exercise of the option triggers the jurisdiction of the State of New York Public Service Commission:

Without approval of the state board, the issued approval for the mosque is null and void. They will have to start all over with another application. The fact that Con Ed approves of the exercised purchase option to the lessee has nothing to do with it. This was an attempted end run around the State Board.

The State Board had to handle review of all the power cable damage repair to Manhatten after 9/11.

One glance at their roster shows that the Commission has a history of keeping Con Ed honest, a lot of review cases:
