Pakistan drowning
NY Post ^ | August 18, 2010 | Ralph Peters

Thirty-five million Americans as homeless refugees: That would be a disaster proportionate to the horrific -- and worsening -- situation in Pakistan.

This time, that forlorn country isn't threatened by Islamist terror, but by Mother Nature. Two weeks of flooding, with more rain on the way, have made refugees of 20 million Pakistanis.

Try to grasp that number. Twenty million people, overwhelmingly poor, have lost their homes, their slight "wealth" and their livelihoods. Thousands have died.

And international aid groups estimate that 3.5 million children are at mortal risk from diseases spread by polluted water and poor sanitation. Think cholera, typhoid, dysentery and common diarrhea -- the latter a killer among children in the developing world.

The Pakistani government has been mum about cholera cases, but aid workers report scattered deaths. That's how it starts.

The deluge has inundated about 100,000 square miles -- leaving thousands of hamlets, villages and towns underwater or swept away entirely. It's the worst flooding in the region in at least 80 years.

This makes Hurricane Katrina look like a thunderstorm.

There are plenty of ultra-rich Muslims that could be coming to their aid, but won’t.

Right -- where's that Saudi royal family, with all its billions, whose Wahabbist fanatics have been radicalizing the Sunnis over there?

Helping muslims gets us nowhere -- we've been down that road WAY too many times. Giving them aid is pointless, because no matter what, you are the infidel and must be crushed. I say, let us take a pass this time. We're no longer the country we once were anyway, we can't afford it anymore.

Besides, any funding we give will only find its way either to Swiss bank accounts or into the hands of terrorists to purchase more weapons to kill more Americans and Israelis.
Anyway, Pakistan has a monsoon season every year, why aren’t they prepared for this flooding?

No! Their men are! They went to loot and kill for what they can find. Even going as far as stopping relief trucks because they weren't bringing it fast enough. The peoples death as tragic as it is maybe could have saved far even more non-Christian lives than you think.

Correction on my part: No! Their men are! They went to loot and kill for what they can find. Even going as far as stopping relief trucks because they weren't bringing it fast enough. The peoples death as tragic as it is maybe could have saved far even more non-muslim lives than you think.

Wrong starting premise NY Post.

“Thirty-five million Americans as homeless refugees: That would be a disaster proportionate to the horrific — and worsening — situation in Pakistan.”

With this administration, you must qualify the statement to Red State/ Blue State, as here in America Red States get no help either.

You’re saying “drowning” like it’s a bad thing. Now only if you can say, “every muzzie in the world is drowning” then I might feel a twinge......... might.
