Just How Smart is Obama?

The meteoric rise to the presidency of Barack Obama was fueled in no small part by the widely-accepted contention that he was one of the smartest men ever to seek the Oval Office. He is not the first leader to be oversold.

"As far as Saddam Hussein being a great military strategist, he is neither a strategist, nor is he schooled in the operational art, nor is he a tactician, nor is he a general, nor is he a soldier. Other than that he's a great military man -- I want you to know that." It is an article of faith among the mainstream media, even on the squishy right (Bill O'Reilly comes to mind), to start any discussion of the 44th President with a ritual expression of utter amazement at his enormous brain power.

This immortal witticism of Gen. Normal Schwarzkopf after a lightning 1991 campaign that cut to pieces the Iraqi dictator's vaunted army resonates with me each time I read or hear any discussion of President Obama.

If Obama is so smart, why did his former co-workers say he was, “lazy, arrogant, and easily the lowest IQ in the building?” Smart people are generally complimented by their peers.

Obammy is a practical joke that backfired. They realized at the last minute that he would be the perfect useful idiot that would offer amnesty to the illegals. Something no other presidential contender would dare touch. So Bush handed him the torch and the establishment's blessings even before the democratic primaries.

He is proving to be an embarrasment to the PTB so they will salvage their investment by having him sign an E.O. to get their amnesty plan approved, stripping all pretense of following the constitution and daring the people to start a shooting war.

Rememeber, Obammy made it a point to tell the West Pointers that he was their commander-in-chief in what could be described as an intimidating tone of voice . . . perhaps forseeing the day that he will declare martial law.

I read a report somewhere that at those University of Chicago law courses Obama taught, he spent a lot of the class time talking about basketball games. I don’t know if that has been verified. There must be scores if not hundreds of people who remember taking his classes, but maybe they are either Obama cultists or think it wouldn’t be prudent to speak out.

I think he’s far below average.
He’s 49 years old. I bet he couldn’t name the guys who walked on the moon first, who is Lucas McCain, or describe even a BASIC third grade explanation of WWII. And don’t even begin asking him science qustions. He is likely to be one of the stupidest men to ever hold the office. Jimmy Carter was FAR more intelligent educationally.

I haven't seen even a glimmer of that. He misuses words, e.g., enormity. He mispronounces words, e.g., corps pronounced corpse. He uses poor grammar, e.g., "President Bush invited Michelle and I to the White House."

Big deal, he got into Harvard and was editor or president of the Law Review. Unfortunately he just reinforces the stereotype of someone who has been promoted above his abilities.

I agree. His biggest asset, as I said, is that he is a performance artist. Someone else, with a less smooth delivery, would not have done nearly as well, even with all of the AA benefits. Take, for example, Deval Patrick.

I th9ought he was a pretty smart guy before, just a misguided a-hole. I am becoming more and more convinced that he is a moron, a complete idiotic moron. Can’t make a speech without a teleprompter; can’t talk without half of his words being, um, ah; and is self-centered beyond a normal thinking persons standards. The guy is dumber than dog crap.
