I have been cleaning up my files and found one that I saved and will continue to save where a government medical plan for which I was eligible could not decide which district I was in, so it denied all of my claims. I did various things, including, ultimately, contacting both of my senators, whose first efforts were deflected. On the other hand, when I tied into the Senators and explained their ineffectuality, one of them did put the fear of God into the bureaucracy such that I was contacted immediately by a fellow who said to call him day or night if there should be a problem, and please don’t waste time by going through that particular senator, because answering his mail required beaucoup documentation before a sign-off by a big-time bureaucrat who had not a clue about how poorly the system worked, and was paid very well not to.
