Liberals are always yapping about "intentions". Intentions are what really matter.
Well now the IslamoFascists are building this at this location for one reason, and one reason only. They are spitting in our faces, they are urinating on the graves of their victims. This is all a deliberate insult.
Suddenly, the "intentions" of these Muslims are irrelevant, according to the libs. Suddenly, it's all about religious freedom (nice phrase coming from liberals, I'm surprised there haven't been a few hit by lightning when they said it).
Amazing also that the only time the libs trumpet "religious freedom" is with Islam.
Make no mistake. The Democrat supporters of this Mosque hate the victims of 9/11. They think the victims deserved what they got. No one will say it out loud, but that is the real and disgusting truth.

As others have (correctly) noted, this is not about "Constitutional rights" or "freedom of religion." It is about basic sensitivity to the (understandable) feelings of others. And the families of those who perished in the horrid events of 9/11--and, by extension, most New Yorkers--remain unalterably opposed to the location of this mosque so close to hallowed ground.
In a genuflection to the God of Political Correctness, however, leftists assert that non-Muslims should be sensitive to and respectful of Muslims; but not so much vice-versa...

I beleive that the Left is far more adamant about the mosque than rank and file American Muslims are. But remember, Hamas and so many of the other jihadi provacateurs were originally creations of Moscow, not the Koran.
