As soon as I see that a story is from the Philly Stinky, I turn away.
“House of worship”
Yeah, like the terrorist training camps are just “summer camp.”

what is true is that building a mosque no matter what they call it..is a sign of conquest. non muslims are lower than dogs..just attended a party this weekend that included a US daughter converted to islam by her iranian husband. She was so disrespectful to her mom i could not believe my ears. The mother said she was moving our of her own home to get away from them. this is the new improved Islam

The first thing that must be said about the mosque at ground zero is that it is not just a mosque, and it is not at ground zero.Yep. It's a super-mosque and more. And it's one entire block from where WTC7 burned and collapsed on 9/11.

Not the Ground Zero?? I guess Auschwitz area is not sacred either. Just that part with ovens, maybe... Maybe not even that.

Here we come to the key fallacy driving these fights - the "big lie," to use Hitler's term for a falsehood so preposterous that it goes unchallenged.
The PI is equating anyone who opposes the ground zero mosque with Nazis.

Facts matter, and they seem to be in short supply in this ugly fight. Ugly? Ugly for you side, Inquirer. I wouldn't characterize the "fight" as ugly at all. The reason it has to be fought; now, that's ugly.
As for the assertion that "facts matter," so sanctimoniously asserted by this phony organ of the main-stream media, well, I guess some facts matter more than others. I can think of a whole bunch of facts about this President, and this administration, that the public has been told over and over don't matter at all.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, has highlighted Geller associate John Joseph Jay as "truly vicious." According to the center, Jay wrote in his (all-lowercase) blog: "if islam kills non-believers as a matter of religious doctrine, then why should muslims expect to be free of retribution in the name of those islam kills?" Well, Mr. Salsbury. You know what is said about anybody that uses the SPLC as an authority on who the haters are. You must really think we are gullible to not realize that everybody is on to their act.
The degree of separation is also a nice touch. So Geller's associate said something provocative, according to a group who's "facts are often in short supply"? And we're supposed to take you seriously why?

With out-of-control PC crap, and sensitivities to even sneeze wrong, it is amazingly tone deaf for the head cheese Imam to a) build so close to ground zero, b) name this "facility" after another Islamic conquest (Cordoba), c) do the ground breaking on 9/11, and d) likely being funded by enemies of the US.
In addition, an entire wing is supposed to study how best to implement (impose) Shari'a Law - this is a subtle way of taking over our judicial system in incremental steps (just ask Louisiana how that's going. This is not a "place of worship" although there will be Mosque-like prayer rooms, etc.
It is a passive-aggressive form of sedition, using the protections we offer as a toe-hold. When does religious freedom stop when practicing that religion calls for the overthrow of the the government and subjugation of all citizens to fall in line with one religion which does not guarantee the other freedoms we enjoy?

The first thing that must be said about the mosque at ground zero is that it is not just a mosque, and it is not at ground zero The landing gear from one of the planes crashed through the roof--rendering the building unusable. That's "ground zero" enough for me.

If one bolt from one of the jets, or one piece of paper from the buildings landed there, it’s Ground Zero.

In inconvenient "fact"...
We don't need any more of the AP's "facts". We learned all we need to know about Islam on 9/11.
