Excuse me, but Reagan was a HUGE friend to every Republican. He campaigned tirelessly for Gerald Ford after Ford beat him in the primary and I'm sure you'd categorize Ford as a RINO. That term only surfaced recently when some conservatives became cowardly "Independents".

Reagan never would have agreed to political suicide by dividing the GOP into groups because he was a political genius who understood the necessity of majorities. Something you and Falconers are ignorant of.
