Rush, Hannity, Beck, et al are on AM radio (along with local news, weather, emergency info, etc).
but there are already apps to stream radio content to cellphones anyway.
You can probably go to a dollar store and find a more energy efficient FM/AM transitor radio.
Rush is on FM in some places as well. Talk radio uses AM more because AM signals travel farther.
