It is great news, but I have no doubt that Zero will ignore the ruling.
The irony is that there has NEVER been a ban on privately-funded research on embryonic stem cells. The FACT is that private corporations aren’t putting a penny into ESC research because they know that it is a waste of money. On the other hand, they ARE pouring billions into adult (including umbilical cord) stem cell research and are reaping the rewards. Adult stem cells have successfully been employed in treating over six dozen conditions.
Really, its more than just a waste of money; its an invitation to lawsuits.
