Many have fled, and they DO still feel intimidated, even though no one may have directly threatened them here, the fear is still there because it’s the norm in their previous culture & background that they fled.
Another explanation may be that people who are more secular muslims feel that each person’s practice of the religion is between himself & God and it isn’t their place to condemn how another practices.
Enough with the “moderate” Muslim nonsense. If there were so many of them, they would have changed things already. There are Mosques across America preaching Sharia Law, and there is no Muslim movement against it. They stand with their religion.
