Isn't this a tax on speech? Won't there be a legal challenge?

This is absolutely amazing! Hard to believe! I’m astounded! You’re telling me that there’s actually still people who want to live in Philthydelphia?

Philadelphia, another reason I left Pa.

Philadelphia is ALWAYS desperate for money.
You've had a bunch of Obama types running Philadelphia for years. So all they can do is TX and SPEND. As people and companies move out, they're stuck with this method of getting money. They wouldn't dare cut back on spending.

You pay multiple taxes, including on receipts, so even a business losing money must pay taxes. It truly is the socialist idiot nightmare. They have no awareness that a better business climate would help the city and boost tax revenue.

” If their bill passes, bloggers will still have to get a privilege license if their sites are designed to make money, but they would no longer have to pay taxes on their first $100,000 in profit. “
More companies will MOVE OUT!

“In June of this year (2010), Philadelphia city council members unveiled a proposal to reform the city’s business privilege tax in an effort to make Philly a more attractive place for small businesses. “
Yeah the 100K profut limit will really attract small or medium size business all right! LOL!!!!
There is NO WAY IN HELL that a small or medium sized business will go to Philadelphia to support dead beats.

It's a shame. When younger, our parents moved to the burbs from Fox Chase, Philadelphia. When I talk about that, people can't fathom a corn fields and farms in Northeast Philadelphia - but there were there. When they built up, we moved.

California charges $800 for the same right to try and make money. We are more screwed up than Pennsylvania. The goal of the governing officials is to be a state of just government workers and illegals then everything would be great. Great to me is moving to Nevada.

We live on “the pike”. I remember not being able to get to Southampton because the cows were loose in the road.

Don't believe I see myself as superior ... we moved to NJ in the 80’s. We are lonely conservatives.

It’s not just Bucks County, it’s everywhere. People have forgotten what it is to be hungry. They’ll be reminded soon.
To: Born to Conserve
Have they given up their guns too?
That used to be a well armed county.
I’m not suggesting anything but that but there used to be some die hard conservatives there.
It’s awful what is happening.
