BANKSVILLE (KDKA) ―
A Wednesday morning protest in Banksville is causing major delays for the morning commute.
The protest was staged by the Boilermakers Local 154 on Banksville Road near Crane Avenue.
Over 400 union members lined the streets to protest President Barack Obama's new energy bill.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police were directing traffic to help keep vehicles moving.
One man was arrested after he crossed the street despite police ordering him not to.
maybe 11 other people.
I’m one, too.
Make that 12!
By the way, Welcome Home, and thank you.
OMG, unions against Obama ....say it ain’t so.... =.=
They are only out protesting because they are being hurt. They like the rest of their union botard brothers and sisters helped to vote in our current POTUS so now they reap the benefits that they bestowed upon the rest of us. Too bad for them. My heart bleeds (not).
As the Unions turn.....
i hope thier numbers grow
IF this is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, something about the byline above does NOT make sense.
ANY radio/TV station beginning with “K” should be west of the Mississippi. East side of Mississippi should begin with the letter “W”.
Clarification, please?
It is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
KDKA is the oldest commercial radio station in the country. When the K/W rule was implemented, KDKA was grandfathered in, along with a few other stations. Oddly enough, another “K” station was also located in Pittsburgh, KQV.
Sorry to seem like I’m repeating you, but other folks in the country just don’t understand what a huge thing that this happened. Pittsburgh has been 100% Democrat ruled for something like 60 years. What’s left of the unions are firmly in the pocket of government, and the libs are very active. To see this happening is both incredible and, to me at least, very positive.
I remember when Rush said that he hoped that those coal miners who voted for Obama lose their jobs...elections have consequences.
KDKA was the country’s first commercial radio station, and its call letters were created before that policy took effect.
