April, it’s funny, but your words are exactly what I said last night as my wife and I were watching a movie called “A Single Man”. The main character states peoples’ problem with any minority is “fear of them”.
I don’t fear gays or other minorities at all. I don’t approve of the gay lifestyle as a viable way to live life. I think if you want to be gay, go for it, but don’t push it down my throat (sorry the pun) or I’ll push back. I don’t want my kids to take up the gay lifestyle, either, so I instruction on not accepting such a sexual direction is to be expected.
I think a lot of this comes from liberals looking at themselves and determining they fear us, and so they therefore think we must feel the same in reverse. I only fear people who are likely to threaten me directly, and for that, I will take up arms if necessary.
Otherwise, it’s not worth my time to be fearful of nothing.
