Hospital failed to heed 2008 advice
A pensioner died of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after bungling doctors sent him home without anti coagulants, an inquest heard.
Generic Online News 2Peter Allman was known to be at high risk of clotting before he underwent surgery for a scrotal hernia in October last year but he was not given the drug Klaxin.
The 76-year-old died at his home in Greenfields, Gnosall, in November nine days after being discharged. He had been in hospital for two days and seemed to be recovering from the surgery.
