MZ has learned ... the man who allegedly attempted to break into Paris Hilton's L.A. home this week was thwarted by Hilton's boyfriend ... who pulled a gun on the suspect before the dude could get inside.

Law enforcement sources confirm ... Hilton's BF -- Vegas nightclub kingpin Cy Waits -- told police that he and Paris heard loud banging noises coming from downstairs around 6:30 AM Tuesday ... so he grabbed his gun and went to check out the situation.

We're told Cy claims he spotted Nathan Parada peering through a window and carrying two knives -- a large kitchen knife and a buck hunting knife.

I’m glad the BF was armed — I don’t care if it was Hilton’s house or Joe Smith’s house. Residents need to protect themselves. What if Hilton had been home alone and unarmed?

Celebrities are burglarized as often or more often than the average person here in L.A. They are often targeted due to their celebrity.

This story reminds me to head to the practice range — it’s been awhile!

Yes, I know it's Paris Hilton and you don't either know who she is, or don't care about her if you do.

Paris Hilton is the nadir.

Of what, you ask?

[waving hands around in utter disgust] ...of absolutely everything...

Your average Hollywood pansexual of any means usually has an expensive 'panic room' and a can of pepper spray. Then there are real men who keep the pepper spray to use on the bullet wound they created, just to enhance the unfortunate interloper's experience in arrogant stupidity.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Good for him. If it was me I would have shot the guy dead, inside my house or breaking in. To let a nutjob like this live only gives him a chance to do it again, and a guy like this will 100% do it again.

I realize I’m not forced to click on the post. And no one supports Mr Jim more than me. I was exercising my FIRST amendment rights. I wish these Hollywood scum sluts would disappear from this great website.
I do agree with you about Obozo’s Mob of Thugs.

No matter what you may tgink of her mores, she’s done nothing to deserve being sliced up for. the BF should have put two in his chest and follow ed them up with two more to the head, so that there would be bno chance that he could ever do this to Miss Hilton, or antone else in the future.

Agree completely. The hostility to Hilton is a little off-putting - not because Hilton doesn't deserve it, but because the story isn't about Paris Hilton. It's about Paris Hilton being saved from a knife-wielding known criminal by a guy who was exercising his 2A rights.

It's an especially curious story, not because of Hilton per se, but because it happened right in the middle of Liberal Capitol USA. I don't know if Hilton has had any prior comments on the 2A (probably not, as the Constitution is likely completely unknown to her), but I'M SURE MANY of her neighbors have.

I wonder how many Hollywood celebrities who don't already own a weapon for the home, are buying one this weekend. I also thought it was interesting that while this "story" was talked about on all the morning shows, not a single one mentioned this particular aspect.

Some questions:

1) Does the boyfriend have a permit to carry? If so which county issued it and what was his good cause statement?

2) If not, did he carry the gun in his car illegally, or, did he keep it unloaded in a separate locked case while transporting it to her home, and then unlocked the case and loaded the gun when he got to her house? Or

3) Is in the habit of leaving his guns in the home of a convicted felon?

Now, I am being factious about this. I 100% support his right to carry. But California is not an easy state to get a permit. This is Los Angeles county.

Is this yet another case of a VIP (a big wig nightclub owner) being able to obtain a carry permit when regular folk can’t? Or does he just carry it without regard to the law?

Good questions - ones I simply don't have the answer to. From what I understand, he's not even a resident of California, but of LV. I'm not even sure if a non-resident can get a carry permit in LA, or California for that matter. But, he was a private residence, and not in the public where this occurred. I'm not at all familiar with the handgun laws in California or LA, but you may not need a permit to possess them, just to carry them. Again, I'm not sure.

To have a carry permit you have to get it from the sheriff or police chief of the county/city of your residence. There are no non-residency permits. CCW is 100% discretionary, meaning, you can claim all the good cause you want, if the top cop doesn’t want to give you a permit you don’t get one.

It is possible that he is a California resident. I think he was a bar owner/promoter from the L.A. area who got hired to promote/co-own clubs in Vegas. It is possible, being a club owner, that he used to carry a lot of cash (bar receipts) and that he got a CCW permit based on the fact that he carried a lot of cash.

But assume he does not have a carry permit. If he had no permit, this means he has been going through the hassle of keeping a gun in a separate locked case which he brings with him it into the house and back back to the car each and every time he goes somewhere. IMHO this is not likely to be the case.

The other possibility is that Paris, or the guy, kept a weapon at Paris’ house. I think she lost her right to own a weapon for her DUI/drug conviction. I do not agree with this law but it is the law. And if the boyfriend just left a weapon at the house of his girlfriend, he broke the law. You cannot leave a weapon in the possession of a felon either.

I am just flapping my lips (fingers) in a mental exercise. 2A rights in CA are very hard to keep. Hopefully it will change soon if we win the Sykes case in circuit court and it will turn CA into a shall issue state.

In any event, now that this boyfriend has been popped for DUI, he will probably lose his right to armed self defense too. This will mean he and Paris are even more vulnerable to armed attacks like the one he successfully staved off. Our laws are very bad.
