I have been watching the C-span coverage and it appears that they are extremely careful not to show a shot from any vantage point that would allow the viewer to see the entire crowd. Very low angle shots, tight coverage on small groups, shots of people sitting on the ground with lots of space around them (no idea where they are sitting at). I would like to see a shot from the top steps of the Lincoln memorial or from the Washington Monument.

Some great shots on Live Thread,
Drudge is reporting “100,000 expected”, I think it is an ABCnews link.
Drudge needs to update this.

The cspan cameramen also focus on people getting up for bathroom breaks.. main coverage is on negative.

I also noticed that C-SPAN’s cameras were not allowing The People watching to get any idea of the crowd size. It’s rather surprising that C-SPAN even carried the rally at all. They most likely decided they’d have to show the rally in order to avert a revolt by The People. They did the broadcast (reluctantly) because they had to. Their limited view of the rally will not have any negative effect on our enthusiasm for change in our country. We surround them, and they know it.
