Just saw the coverage of the two rallies on CNN International, which is all I can get on cable here in Cameroon where I’m working.
Lots of time dedicated to the criticisms of the Restoring Honor rally, lots of air time given to Sharpton’s position. No crowd shot from Sharpton’s rally but they did show the aerial shot from the Mall with the huge crowd for Beck’s rally. The way the reporter talked about the two rallies left the impression that the two rallies had about the same level of attendance.
Of course they mentioned that Beck had substance abuse issues in the past and that he converted to Mormonism. And that although it wasn’t supposed to be a political event Sarah was there...

I have to admit I smile just thinking of how dejected - and REjected they must be feeling right now. But they'll find a reason to blame it all on whitey...
Another plus: the demRats have to have another level of fear after seeing the contrast between the 2 crowds. November is looking more bleak every day

to include the many very courageous, patriotic black Americans who were in attendance, on the podium or right here on FR in support of RESTORE HONOR.
I know there are a lot of the entitlement elements out there, and we do focus on them with GREAT distaste, but just for today I feel inspired by what I saw and heard at the Lincoln Memorial.
I want to bath in that for awhile, and hope for America's future once more. No not the hopey changy kind of hope.
Be wery, wery scared Obama and Congress, what you just saw today is just a tiny tip of the ICEBERG aka voters coming for you. We are huge, massive, but very quiet and peaceful as you witnessed, yet we are resolved to destroy your evil and it all begins this NOVEMBER. Get ready.

CSPAN coverage of the Sharpton event just started a few minutes ago.
Think how much “further” Sharpton would have gotten if he was there with Glenn ... now he’s forever “anti-God” ... because Glenn was “Pro-God”. These libs better think twice before messing with these rallies ... the September weekend rallies are going to be huge ... back to back? I bet the crowd will be at 2 million easily. (Make that 2,000,001 ... I’ll be there).

Immediately thought of the ONE JUDGE standing in the way, overturning Prop 8 in California, that "we the people" voted for!

That’s funny and yet it’s sad because it’s TRUE.
What King and other strove for and fought against has been hijacked and really ridiculed by the likes of Sharpton, who’s nothing but a publicity seeking race hustler.
What has that pathetic character ever done FOR blacks? He’s made himself rich and famous. In the meanwhile in black neighborhoods across the US, kids continue to drop out of school, babies have babies and then more babies, illiteracy is rampant, drug usage and crime is rampant. It’s not safe for a middle class black woman or man to walk the streets alone. And Sharpton’s mouth and rallies have not lifted ONE of them up.
Al, if you really want to do something productive, get off tv, get off the mic, go into the ‘hood and do something for the folks living there. Then come back and talk to us.

Beck was about honesty , truth, coming together raising money for our special force’s families, etc contrast that to attacks, angry, booing at the mayor , political and it is negative as heck.

Any reports of the Black Panther’s showing their face at the Glen Beck rally? It seems that I had heard that they were going to show up and kick some “white ass”. Did they show?

No, Shabazz announced yesterday they would NOT attend. Smart move.
That sounds so typical - you know, when they are outnumbered, there is NEVER any trouble. Did you ever make that observation. In my city, I see it all the time. Only when it is 4-1 or 6-1 or 8-1 in favor of Holmes, is there ever any trouble.
I think on top of the raw numbers that would be overwhelming against any effort the “New Black Panthers” could put forward, they also would have assumed that no DC ordinance was going to stop some who’d be attending from packin’ heat. Even without that, all the military, vets, etc. who attended could have handled any and all troublemakers. At least we know now that Shabazz is smarter than Sharpton.
