I’m don’t believe that’s true. I do remember the charge was made they were somehow linked in some fashion to Planned Parenthood but I never saw any specifics or proof. I questioned the assertion but haven’t been able to find anything else. I find it hard to believe.

The Salvation Army as far as I know has always been above reproach. The United Way on the other hand can go pound sand.

I worked with the SA during a number of disasters and I can tell you that they are the first on the scene, they are carrying food and supplies and that they are the hardest working people I have ever seen. Unbelievable work ethic.

In World War II, they would pull up to the front lines during the battle of the Bulge, open up the back of the truck and there would be hot donuts and coffee for all.

The German lines were only a half mile or so away and our units were constantly being bombarded by artillery and mortars. Didn’t bother them a bit.

The Red Cross, on the other hand, was a 20 or 30 mile ride behind the lines.

Give to SA. Someday they will be in your community helping out during a disaster. Man, they are good.

And don’t get me started on UW. They have already received too much of my money through corporate extortion. Never again.
