LA Times: Women in Washington, your seats are at risk

Washington — With this fall's midterm elections, the number of women serving in Congress could drop for the first time in a generation. If large numbers of Democratic incumbents lose in November, as expected, many women could be replaced by men.

The prospect of a setback has advocates of women's rights in disbelief, but determined to try to prevent it. "That is not going to happen," said Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women.

Many of the vulnerable Democratic women this fall first arrived on the waves of the 2006 and 2008 elections, but now face tough odds in districts that have since soured on the party in power and on President Obama's agenda.

In my book the ‘women’s movement’ is more responsible for the breakdown in our cultural and moral values than any other ‘social’ trend.

Women were ‘admonished’ to look with disdain and anger on the role of mother and wife and to consider only those factors which fulfill her wishes and desires. There was an overt movement to ‘diminish’ the male and his role in society. The natural result was to vie for dominance in traditional male roles including supposed ‘sexual’ permissiveness.

The men were blindsided...and society lost the most important base as the purveyor of values, morality and responsibility: the intact family unit.

I would never vote for a woman because she is a woman...but I guess there are fools who do.

Here's one seat in Washington that no one will ever, ever be tempted to mischaracterize, for ANY conceivable reason, as being "vulnerable":

This story bears out the truth of the old joke that if the establishment news media were to announce the end of the world, the headline would be:

WORLD TO END TOMORROW; WOMEN, MINORITIES, AND THE POOR TO BE HURT WORST

Ahh, yes, but if she offers the wisdom of a wise latina, then by all means put her on the Surpreme Court....

... or if she is a Libtard who can see nothing ... nothing ... with respect to judicial restraint ...

The NAG gang??? They lost every bit of credibility they thought they had with ignoring Clinton’s bimbo fiascoes. I’m surprised they even exist anymore as an organization.

Excuse me "Ms" O'Neill, but that's not for you to say. It can and will happen if the voters (remember them - they are the folk who are supposed to be in charge) decide not to vote for people who happen to be women.

Demonstration of media bias. For women’e ‘issues’ they have N.O.W. dialed in, but unless directly concerned never even look at C.W.A. or Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum, they just don’t exist to them. NOW is liberal first, women second and for the MSM that is the correct attitude!

Let’s work to make the number of Dims in Washington drop, regardless of race, color, creed, gender or national origin (or any other category I might have left out).

Interesting that this article from the Los Angeles Times makes NO MENTION of the GOP women challenging in CALIFORNIA!?!? Is this a bit of tipping past the graveyard?

The majority of the membership of NOW are lesbians. They don’t even begin to speak for what normal women want.

Blah, blah, all I hear the LA Times saying is that the Dems have played the race card to it limit and are not trotting out sexism.

Seeing as how most of the women in Congress are stupid lefties, I have no problem with this.
