It’s a sleepy Friday in late August, the president is on another vacation, Congress is out of town, no one is paying much attention. What better time for the Obama administration to pull the plug, once again, on military commissions? This time, it has halted the case of top al-Qaeda operative Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, who was to be prosecuted by a military court for the Cole bombing. None of this is terribly surprising. Prosecuting the Cole case by military commission sticks in the Left’s craw because it shows the incoherence of the Obama/Holder position. They want to treat the war like a crime and endow our enemies with all the rights and advantages of civilian courts; yet, they went military in the Cole case, despite the fact that there is a pending Justice Department civilian indictment addressing that attack. There can be only one explanation for that: they are afraid the case against Nashiri is weak and might not hold up under (slightly) more exacting civilian court due process. That is, the Obama/Holder position is not principled — for all their “rule of law” malarkey, they are willing to go where they have the best chance to win. But there were no military commissions when the Cole was bombed, so what is the basis for trying it militarily? Answer: the 9/11 attacks and the ensuing war . . . except the Left doesn’t accept that it’s a war and the administration wants to prosecute the 9/11 plotters in civilian court. None of it makes any sense.

Eric “nation of cowards” Holder seems to spend an inordinate percentage of his time as Attorney General wringing his hands over the venue and details of the trials of a handful of Guantanamo prisoners. Any normal AG would have had these matters tried and resolved in short order and had moved on to doing the business of the public. The incompetence is mind boggling. Barry and Holder should resign so they can fully devote their time and energies to navel gazing about the rights of terrorists.

Although I know to expect these constant assaults, why am I so startled by it? Thought I’d be immune by now, but each and every day I get so enraged by this totally muslim idiot-in-chief. Guess I never got over being so stunned he was elected and it keeps progressing. I pray for his end of power each night in my prayers...I hope God is listening.
I saw that Barry invited NYC Mayor Bloomberg to his luxury resort this weekend to play golf. Could be that Barry is still obsessing about moving the Khalid Sheik Mohammid trial to New York City and is lobbying the Mayor for support. Barry and Eric Holder are working overtime to pamper terrorists.

What is wrong with this picture? Seventeen of my fellow US Navy sailors DIED and many others were wounded in that attack. And my country, the strongest nation on the face of this earth who is supposed to support its’ military is going to avoid proscecuting this scum bag terrorist? This news item makes me want to hang my head in shame.
This is just politics at their lowest. A shameful and deceitful stab in the back of justice and our military. Once the military knew the powers to be had their backs, a very mutual implied symbiotic relationship.
Well now that the lowest class of politicians have assumed power, that relationship is now only one way.
We all must do EVERYTHING in our power to see that these political dregs are removed from office as soon as is legally possible, to repair all the damage that has been done in the last almost 2 years. For the first time in my life I am contributing money to political campaigns and organizations that I feel represent me and all of the other disinfranchised citizens.
Take out the trash, no take out the garbage STARTING in November.
