Whoever heard of a hurricane having anniversary observances before? Every other natural disaster in American history, folks just cleaned up, buried the dead, rebuilt and moved on. But not Katrina. Gotta remember Katrina forever. It’s the liberals’ September 11. They just THINK Bush caused 9/11, but they KNOW he caused Katrina, and they can PROVE IT!

Sheesh what a madhouse.

That's what I was wondering about yesterdays 47th anniversary of the MLK I have a dream speech. I don't remember the celebration for the 46th anniversary or any of the other 45 to be honest.

I'm sure looking forward to the 48th annual commeration next year. If Beck plans another "event" next August 28th, we'll know then that he really did plan it that way.

Well, in S.Florida we had Hurricane Andrew observances for years afterward. I agree with your point, though-people need to get over it! But it must gall the lefties to realize if Katrina had hit in 2004 instead of 2005, Bush might not have been reelected...;)

It happens. Before Katrina, the local stations would show a Camille program every year at the beginning of hurricane season. Some storms, like Camille and now Katrina, just seem to have a life of their own.

***************

The irony is that leftist malfeasance caused the flooding in New Orleans. The storm had passed over with only moderate wind damage. The levies which had not been maintained gave way. Thia despite residents’ complaints of leaks which were filed and ignored, and funds which had been provided and ‘disappeared’.

Colin Powell’s “urban values” at work again.

Katrina Latrina

The lasting, living testimonial that welfare destroys the human spirit and initiative.

And the Legacy of Latrina; 5 years of bitching, moaning and gimme more.

With no end in sight.
