Actually, anyone who has read history would be aware that this was a common way to get rid of excess puppies and kittens, by drowning them in streams.
I don’t think I could do it myself, but before the days of vets and painless anesthetics, it was about the only alternative to having feral cats and dogs all over the place, which is not a happy alternative.
Still, there’s something sick about smiling and taking pleasure in it. And we DO have anesthetics now, or rescue shelters that will take pets that people don’t want.

As sick as it is, this is true. I know it happens still. The puppies are put into a burlap sack and tossed into a body of water. The huge difference is those who do it are not happy and smiling while committing the deed.
Not exclusively. It was rare when I was there. It was not offered anywhere I ate, unless maybe you had a speak-easy type of situation where a password got you your special order.
That's the part that bothers me. I know drowning is how people used to get rid of unwanted puppies/kittens, and in some parts of the world I'm sure they still do, but enjoying it is just sick. I haven't watched the video and don't intend to.
