Anna Jimenez is now the Nueces County DA after Carlos Valdez resigned to become Corpus Christi city attorney and Governor Perry appointed her. She is the Republican candidate to serve the remainder of the term. She has fired a prosecutor who is married to a very wealthy real estate developer who has now put up large signs for her opponent on his properties all over town.
