For a moment, I thought Katie Couric has been killed.

She was identified as 56 year old Amanda Hugenkiss, a 5’ 5” bottle blonde with extensive plastic surgery. Her prey was apparently a 19 year old UCSB Sophmore home to do his laundry.

They could have waited until it took out a few professors, or Sierra Club members. Either one would have improved the world.

“World-famous”? I’ve never even HEARD of the “Gourmet Ghetto”!
Besides, it’s Berkeley! Why didn’t they try to find out why the cougar didn’t like people, and get him some therapy?/s;)

The police killed one of God's creature's? With a gun? In Berkeley, CA?

The officers will probably be put on administrative leave and there will be a full investigation.

Three officers shot and killed the 100-pound adult female.

I never would have guessed Courtney Cox was a pound over 95.

Three officers shot and killed the 100-pound adult female with rifles and a shotgun...

"Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?"

Is That 70's Kid ok?

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

I knew the woman who was the model for one of the original Playboy silhouettes...I think the one you see on truck tire thingys with the legs sort of in the air and the big boobies....anyway...she was very beautiful with long red hair and a body to make men speechless.

So, as some gorgeous women do, she got interested in animals and ended up with a cougar living in her house. We went to dinner there and Orfy was running around loose...including under the dinner table while we were eating..and to say the least...it was VERY disconcerting!!!

At night Orfy would be behind a wrought iron gate that separated the living room from everything else and his perch was the mantle over the fireplace.

Once Orfy got loose in the walled yard, an overgrown place, and her husband was reduced to wandering through the weeds, like some white hunter in old movies, looking for him...whispering Orfy? Orfy? I'm not sure the neighbors knew what was really going on behind those walls in Fountain Valley, CA.

Probably an older Cat... once they loose their teeth they start hanging out around garbage pits... still dangerous cause they have “CLAWS” my first Dog learned that the hard way.

"We found no reason why it should have been there," Foy said. "It's a very odd situation. It's just very unusual."

Like the cat they got a couple of years ago at the food court in the Capitola Mall, or the one on the wrong side of El Camino Real in Palo Alto?

Unusual my ass. The cats are overpopulated and hungry. The creeks are finally dry (it's been a cool year). The deer are seeking a safe place among people. The cats follow the deer and need the water. QED

Here we are and it's been less than 24 hours...

Mountain lion spotted in Burlingame

I guess it's just not that unusual, is it?
