The State Department says the imam leading plans for an Islamic center near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York is returning to the United States on Wednesday. State Department spokesman Mark Toner says Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has completed a Persian Gulf trip that was intended to promote religious tolerance. Rauf is departing the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, and will return to New York. Toner says Rauf’s early return did not cause the cancellation of any programs on his State Department-funded trip.
Rauf said Tuesday that the controversy over the Islamic center in Manhattan is over more than “a piece of real estate” and could shape the future of Muslim relations in America....
The dispute “has expanded beyond a piece of real estate and expanded to Islam in America and what it means for America,” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told a group that included professors and policy researchers in Dubai.
Rauf suggested that the fierce challenges to the planned mosque and community center in lower Manhattan could leave many Muslim questioning their place in American political and civic life.

Seems like I read somewhere that Italy had decided to remove Islam from its list of recognized religions, since religion is really just a small part of the Muslim whole.
Wherever it goes, it subverts governments in general with its attempts to supersede and to coerce change at all levels of civil society. It’s similar to a cancer that starts as a single errant cell that left untreated, becomes a tumor or systemic disease that will kill.
I’m getting a clearer picture every day as to why the Crusades took place (it was more than recovering Jerusalem) and why the Moors where routed from Europe.
Islam and Black Liberation theology are ‘enemy’ religions. They should not be protected by our laws in my opinion. I do not think we would let Hitler give a speech in Omaha during WW2. Or let the Japanese build a Shinto Temple in Times Square during the War. We are being destroyed from within.

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult. Larger than that though, it is a political system, it is it’s own government, a economic system (which includes funding new mosque construction), its judicial...all wrapped up in the word sharia. This is inclusive of its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. The Korans Sharia rules are to consume whatever government there is wherever it goes.
Islam is political, and it’s goal is to supplant and replace. Globally.

Reluctantly, I must agree. Like most Americans, I want to be a good neighbor, but I have come to believe that when it comes to the survival of our Republic, Islam and Black Liberation Theology cannot be tolerated. They want us humiliated and annihilated. So much for neighborliness.
